Did you watch Soul? 💙
working hard, movement, and tools
Soul
One of my better decisions this week was watching animated movies. I feel bad for those who think Animated movies are for kids—the life lessons and storylines are way better than many motion pictures.
I watched Soul this week, and boy, what a film! 💙
It’s one of those films that makes you think about your way of life - if what you do is what you enjoy or are you yet to find your spark? It’s about passion, little bonds, and what it means to achieve what you’ve always worked for (OH THERE IS THIS DIALOGUE ABOUT FISH AND OCEAN, YOU MUST LISTEN TO IT!!!)
…and this scene! <3
Anyway, I have a bunch of thoughts to share this week, but before we begin, we have a sponsor today!! 👇️
“I want to build an email course”
Top creators like Jay Clouse are leveraging the unique benefits of email-based courses to create demand, develop relationships, and convert customers.

Tools don’t solve your problem
I am obsessed with getting a Whoop tracker for myself. It’s a health and fitness band that tracks sleep, stress, strain, and recovery. Considering how much I push myself physically and mentally, I believe a tracker tracking core metrics will help me optimize my lifestyle for performance.
But there’s another side to me that questions, “Am I buying this because it’s necessary or am I under an illusion that the purchase itself will make my fitness levels better?”
The worst case? I buy the band, wear it daily to gather data, and do nothing about it. The bright side? I can make decisions based on recovery and understand what activities cause stress and strain.
In any case, tools don’t solve the problem. Poor health or lack of fitness can only be countered with good food and consistent workouts. There is no other way. Smartwatches, bands, rings, apps - all these tools help you work smarter and track progress. That’s all they do—ASSIST.
Sadly, we think we are one tool, one course, and one community away from reaching our goals, but in reality, these are all tools to achieve results faster.
You don’t lack a tool. You lack the work.
Working hard is a part of the deal
I don’t like it when someone picks an ambition and complains about how hard they need to work. What made you think it’d be easy? Of course, you need to manage your time better, make some compromises (read: prioritizing your goals), and hustle more than the people around you.
It’s what you sign up for when you choose your career path.
Movement makes you feel alive
My routine six weeks ago was having an intense sports or workout session in the morning and then no movement throughout the day. But I’ve recently included walks every two hours throughout my day - and it’s one of the best things happened to me in 2024.
More than finding a new hobby, I found a method to rest and zoom out a little.
I have always been in a room, isolated and working when I am not with my friends, but walking makes me appreciate little moments around me—parents picking up their kids from school, puppies playing with each other, sunsets, breeze, the flights, plants on my terrace, waving a hi to neighbours and drizzle if I get lucky.
I don’t know how to describe the feeling but I feel more alive and active; I can see it in my mood and focus.
Should I write a book?
I want to compile my travel stories. I travelled to Bangalore, Goa, Coorg, Pune, Mulki, Andhra, and Kodaikanal between February 2023-2024. I might travel to 3-4 places in the next three months.
I want to write 30-40 short chapters (two pages max) sharing my experiences and taking you through these places from my POV. I want to know if you’d be interested in something like this.
Would you buy my TRAVEL MEMOIR?It will be an ebook. The price will be INR 500 or less |
That’s everything I had to say this week. I want to do a deep dive on one topic next week. Might write about The Dark Knight Trilogy. Let’s see!
See ya 👋
Love,
Vikra
