#8: What happened this week + My personal side
Ah, this week was eventful and exhausting—Positive actions, career progress, better physical health, some breakdowns, and a good balance between work and rest.
Good place to be, I’d say.
Here are a few highlights from ’em:
Mom and Impromptu Breakfast
I took my mom on an impromptu breakfast.
She (or people of her generation) are used to being organized and planned all the time. I don’t recall the last time my mom made an instant decision and just went with the flow.
So I walked up to her, got her in the car (after asking for 15 times), and took her to this nice breakfast place I discovered near my home. She was hesitant initially, but after breakfast, she said,“We should go out like this once a month. Let’s bring dad next time.”Fun Part: All the time we were out, she was worried about how she looked because she didn’t get ‘ready.’ And I kept teasing her that she looked bad. Cute.I don’t really spend much time with my parents, but little moments like this make me happy.
Travel Cravings
It’s been 17 days since I returned from Goa, and I am already craving another trip.
Mrunmayee Dixit and Aravind Balla are to blame for this. 👀Mrunmayee is in Udupi, and she is spamming my inbox with beautiful pictures of all the places she visits. I never knew Udupi was this pretty; the pictures are just ✨
I’m thinking of visiting the place next month. Let’s see.
On the other hand, Aravind is in Dharamsala and is showing off his workstation with mountain views 😏. Now I want to visit the mountains too.
Ughhh!!
Haven’t socialized at all
Ever since I returned from Goa, I have been occupied with signing new projects, working with current clients, and on my content.
I hardly got any time to hang out with my close friends. The only time I was out of home was when I met Sreekar for two hours, took mom out, and my time at the gym or sports.
It’s getting a little lonely now, but I have a few events to attend and people to meet in the next couple of weeks. I better see this time as solitude and finish all my work in advance, so I won’t get stressed managing everything later.
A moment to cherish ✨
I took my first live class!!
I recently partnered with an Ed-Tech platform—Yesterday was my first session. I taught the basics of business writing to a batch of 70 students, and it was super fun 🥹
I love teaching. I kind of have been doing it on Cognition for a year, but doing it live for the first time felt goooooood.
My website is live!!
With my content getting diverse every day, I wanted to build a website that acts as a home page and navigates the visitors to all my content.
I didn’t want it to look like a website but a message shared with a friend. Hence I kept it minimalistic and designed it this way:
Check this out: dopecontent.in.
On the same website, I added an About Me section, where I included details that are not available online, and you’ll only know them if you know me personally.
This is one of my steps to get closer to my audience on a personal level.
I am mentioning them here too. 👇
10 Things about me you won't find on Google if I get famous
If you have to bribe me to do illegal shit, I’ll take payment in food.
I go easy on you if you have a pet. (But I'm not that guy who judges you if you hate animals.)
I love travelling. I plan to cover major Indian cities in 2023. DM me your city, and I'll drop you a message when I visit. On that note, I live in Hyderabad. DM me when you're here. I'm happy to show you around. Biryani is on me.
I like places that are silent and less crowded. Ironically, I love loud music and occasionally enjoy partying too.
Things I can talk about for hours: Movies, Shows, Travel, Books, History, Gossip, Sports, Food, and I'll add more when I remember more.
I'm 24, and I still watch cartoons. Shinchan and Pokémon are my favourites.Doraemon's title song > Doraemon cartoon.
I find driving cars and listening to music therapeutic. In fact, I want to play an instrument someday.
If you don't see me tweeting or posting, it's probably because I'm having a good time. I keep social media away (sometimes for days) while enjoying conversations/time with people.
I love sports. I play cricket, volleyball, badminton, and sometimes football. I'm available to catch up for a game almost every day.
I rarely get angry. But I do get upset often, most of which depends on how satisfied I am with my food or how fulfilling my sleep is.Feed me well and let me sleep. You'll hardly have any problem with me.
That is all I got to share with you this week.
See ya next Sunday.
Enjoy your week ahead! Bye Byeeee.
