Fixing my life in 30 days: Day 3
Weekendingggggg
It’s 1:04 am. I just got back from a nice get-together with my friends. As much as I wanted to jump on my bed and doze off in less than five minutes, I still couldn’t stop myself from writing this issue.
*suffering from discipline*
Today was fun. Good mix of different things I would hope for in my days, especially considering today and yesterday.
The last 4-5 days have been hectic, and today provided me with the most needed relaxation. I wouldn’t call it ‘rest’ because there was still a lot of energy invested (there is a concept called eustress. Read up on eustress vs distress. Will be super interesting if you believe you are not resting enough.)
Remember I spoke about compartmentalization yesterday? And how I invested myself in freelancing, workout, and content creation compartments?
Today’s compartments were: content consumption and time with friends and family. So far, compartmentalization is working well.
Highlights from the Day:
I caught up on a lot of reading. I started many books, I have a pile of unread newsletters, and some courses I am taking. I’ve invested the last few days’ energy in execution and hardly spent any time reading or consuming knowledge. Happy I have managed three hours of reading today
Met Aishu for 30 minutes
Guesss what? I took a four-hour afternoon nap. This was surprising because I mostly take 60-90 minute naps in the afternoon. I mean, I slept late at 2 am and woke up at 6 (doesn’t matter when I sleep, I always wake up between 6 and 7.) So I guess my afternoon nap covered it up
I woke up around 4 pm and worked on a lead magnet I am creating for my business newsletter, Cognition. This went on till 5:30
Hit the gym by 6 and worked out for an hour. Hardly managed 40 squats and 1 kilometer run on treadmill. Honestly, it’s embarrassing. There was a time I used to do 160 kg leg press and 10 rounds running around the ground for fun
I met the Gang around 8:30. I just came back at 12:30 am-ishh. There is always fun, laughter, and teasing around when I meet these folks. The best thing happened to me in 2023 (can we say thing? Idk you figure it out; I am too tired to think.)

See ya tomorrow!
There is a high chance you might read this in the morning, so good morning and have a lovely Sunday!!
