Fixing my life in 30 days: Day 23
What did 2023 teach you?
My friend, Mitesh (my fav account to follow and one of the very few people I admire for how they think) tweeted, “What did 2023 teach you?”
I owe him for this issue lol.
I don’t know if these are from 2023 but I quickly wrote some one-liners that I could instantly think of. Or the things I think I have learned lately.
Here:
Don’t make important decisions when you’re sleep, food, or social-life deprived
Good ventilation is underrated
Opportunities never come. Only you create them—directly or indirectly
Cliches are boring. But they win you battles. examples: wake up early, exercise, eat healthy, use your phone less, meditate, etc
You can’t be slow as a leader
You don’t need to disrespect to disagree. Respect and disagreement can coexist
Saying “this could have been better” is easy. Putting 10% of your opinions into action is fucking hard
You’re flawed. So is everyone else
Extremes for views in short-form. Nuances for depth in long-form. Both are crucial to build a content biz
You never know if the person is on cloud nine or a volcano. Always try to be nice
Learn to allocate your time and energy to the right people. Not everyone needs your absolute attention
Those who follow religion without questioning will never truly understand it
Remember those who stayed when you felt you were not good enough. Keepers
How you treat your parents gives a glimpse of how you take people for granted, provided you have at least a decent relationship with your parents
Be okay with both: breaking taboos and swimming the tide
Your work is not your only identity. At least, it should not be
Meet new people to realize how little you know
Do things for the sake of doing things. Everything doesn’t have to have a reason or meaning
Cringe is important
Like someone’s work? Support it publically. It’s free
Charity to tell people you do charity is not charity
Be a doer today. You can be a thinker any day
Stop flexing laziness
When in doubt, sleep or exercise
Happiness doesn’t necessarily have to make sense
I’ve posted the same on Twitter. Please retweet if you enjoyed reading it: here.
No story behind this. Wanted to add an image and found this sexy. Ok byeeee
