Can I just say good night and sleep pleaseeeeeeeee?

Never mind. I did something new and exciting, so let me tell you about it and then hop on bed.

But first, what did I do today?

• Started my day with practice. Good two-hour session

• Five episodes of Young Sheldon

• One lecture on Value Props

• 50-minute call with a client

• Made a list of people I need to message about Cognition. Will probably send a few DMs if I have the energy after this

• Met my friend for ninety minutes

• Created content for two and a half hours

• Had a solid one-hour nap

I couldn’t do much today, but I also wanted to take it slow (strangely without guilt.) I needed some break, so I hardly did anything post 8 pm.

After three episodes of Young Sheldon, I thought, “Is this the day to try something new?”

And!!!

I tried my hand at drawing!!

I used to draw a lot when I was a child but somehow, I lost the touch. I was telling you about engineering activities, right? I felt today might be a good day to start something that has nothing to do with my work and I only do it for fun.

So…

(warning: If you judge my skills on my first drawing after decades, I’m not buying you an ice cream when we meet)

It took me twenty minutes; I wanted to start simple and I came up with this:

Wise enough to know my drawing skills are basic but smart enough to know my writing is top-notch. So I added a cute dialogue to make the entire story look so much more beautiful.

The picture was from Pinterest but I came up with the dialogue myself.

I asked my friend what makes her happy or brings a smile. Her first thought was about making her parents proud.

So I made this for her and will give it the next time we meet:
